Chartered Institution of Highways & Transportation announces new Chief Executive
Sue Percy has today become the Chartered Institution of Highway & Transportation’s new Chief Executive.
Sue has a strong record in effective partnership working and delivery and has worked for the last 6 years for the Royal Town Planning Institute, most recently as Director of Professional Services. In addition to leading on the strategic and operational plans for improving and extending services for their members, she was responsible for Planning Aid England, and was a Director of RTPI’s trading company, RTPI Services Ltd.
Prior to joining RTPI, she was Head of the Academic Department of Urban, Environment and Leisure Studies at London South Bank University.
Sue Percy said:
“I am delighted to be joining the Institution and look forward to building on the great work that Mary Lewis has led on in recent years. For CIHT members, one of my key aims will be to extend services and champion education and training provision and attainment. I will also be focusing on making sure that the voice of the profession is heard at the highest levels of decision-making and getting out to the branches to meet members is another priority for me“.

She will be building on the achievements of our previous Chief Executive, Mary Lewis’ and will look to develop the Institution’s profile, and the reputation of the industry with governments and the nation“.
