ABI response to NEST investment approach
In response to NEST setting out their investment approach Helen White the ABI’s acting Director of Life and Savings, said:
“We welcome the launch of NEST’s investment approach. It is based on rigorous research of NEST’s target market of lower income consumers who are less engaged with pension saving. It seeks to ensure they keep saving by largely protecting them from investment risk, especially in the early years.
This will give people the confidence to save more and complements the range of pension and investment options the insurance industry will be offering people automatically enrolling into workplace pension schemes next year.”
