CIOT: LITRG produces guide for those feeling the pinch

The Low Incomes Tax Reform Group (LITRG) has produced a guide for those who are feeling the pinch in the current economic downturn. The brief electronic guide covers redundancy, unemployment, tax credits, State benefits and other effects of the downturn.

LITRG have included a list of telephone numbers and websites that people might need.

John Andrews, Chairman of LITRG, said: “Many people are being affected by the current economic slowdown through job losses, reductions in income and increased living costs. Now, more than ever, it is important that people claim all that they are entitled to. It is very important that people who find themselves in this situation let HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) know that their circumstances have changed.”
