ABI: Michael Portillio and Jo Brand to headline the 2008 ABI financial media awards

Michael Portillo, one Britain’s most colourful and controversial former politicians, and Jo Brand, one of the country’s most popular comedians, are to host this year’s ABI (Association of British Insurers) Financial Media Awards on 30 October.

Now in their 13th year, the Financial Media Awards celebrate excellence and achievement in financial journalism. The sixteen awards cover national, trade publications and journalists. Winners are voted for by PR professionals from the ABI’s 400 members.

Over 500 representatives from across the financial services industry, together with influential financial journalists, will be attending this year’s event at The Riverbank Plaza, London, SE1.
