ABI announces appointment of Margaret Craig as new director of Life and Savings

The ABI (Association of British Insurers) is delighted to announce the appointment of Margaret Craig as the trade body’s new Director of Life and Savings. She will take up her new role in July.

Margaret joins the ABI with considerable experience in the pensions, life insurance and savings industry, including periods working for a number of ABI member companies. Most recently she was responsible for Pensions Development at Scottish Equitable and Head of Public Affairs and Communication Strategy at Standard Life Assurance.

Stephen Haddrill, Director General of the ABI said:

“I’m delighted to welcome Maggie to the ABI. She will have a vital role in shaping our contribution to debates about pensions and savings in years ahead. She brings exactly the right blend of industry and policy experience.”

Margaret Craig said:

“It will be a wrench to leave my colleagues at Standard Life. But this is a fantastic opportunity. I have long admired the work of the ABI from my position in member companies and have been closely linked with many of its projects. I now look forward to working even more closely with Stephen, his colleagues and all our member companies.”
