PCS EVE OF TUC PRESS CONFERENCE

Mark Serwotka general secretary of the Public and Commercial Services Union (PCS) will be holding an eve of TUC Congress press conference at 1:30pm on Sunday 10 September in the media area at the Brighton Conference Centre.

The press conference will be setting out the union’s priorities on civil and public service reform including job cuts and privatisation. Later in the week on Wednesday 13 September, lunchtime at the Quality Hotel, Mark Serwotka will be speaking alongside a number of trade union leaders at the Public Services Not Private Profit Rally.

The union will also be hosting a debate on the involvement of the third sector in the delivery of public services. Mark Serwotka will be joined by Nick Aldridge, director of strategy and communications, from the Association of Chief Executives of Voluntary Organisations and Steve Davis, from Cardiff University. This also takes place on Wednesday at the Thistle Hotel, Brighton from 6.00 pm * 7.00 pm.
