BASC seeks nominations for 2020 Council election

Nominations are now open for three seats on BASC’s governing council.

The association is looking for experienced and dedicated supporters who have the skills and motivation to go the extra mile to guarantee the future of sustainable shooting and conservation.

An election will be held next year for three places on the association’s governing board – two national seats and one Northern Ireland country seat.

BASC chief executive Ian Bell said: “BASC is an organisation owned by the membership and we are very proud of the democratic and mutual nature of the association.

“If you want to make a real difference as part of the largest association championing sustainable shooting sports put yourself forward as a candidate.”

BASC chairman Eoghan Cameron said: “It is an honour and a challenge to be on BASC Council. We are looking for candidates who are strategic thinkers ready to take the association forward.

“If you think you would make a positive contribution to this fantastic organisation please stand for Council.”

Nominations for election must be made formally in writing and submitted prior to 30 January 2020. They must be signed by the candidate, a proposer and a seconder, all of whom must be members of the association and entitled to vote.
