‘B******ed By Bercow’: Anti-Speaker club plans parliamentary protest

A group of Tory MPs are reportedly planning to attend the last PMQs before recess wearing badges that read 'BBB': 'B******ed By Bercow'.

The unprecedented move would see relations between the Speaker and Conservative backbenchers reach an all-time low, after he issued harsh put downs to a variety of figures on the Tory benches.

The Daily Mail reports that several MPs have been approach to join the 'BBB' club, including Michael Gove, Simon Burns, Anna Soubry, Tim Loughton, Jason McCartney, Simon Kirby and Ian Liddell-Grainger.

Recent weeks have seen John Bercow step up his attacks on predominantly Tory MPs, not least when he told defence secretary Phillip Hammond he was "utterly incompetent" for not distributing a parliamentary statement before making it.

Ian Liddell-Grainger MP was told to "be quiet, and if you cannot be quiet, get out" while health minister
Soubry was told that she "thinks her views are relevant, but we are not interested".

Tories have long complained that Bercow is far harsher on their side of the House than he is on Labour MPs, whose support he relied on to become Speaker.
