Blair ‘called back to Chilcot Inquiry’

By staff

Tony Blair may be called back to appear before the Chilcot Inquiry into the Iraq war, it has been suggested.

Media outlets and reporters who have been covering the inquiry suggested today that the former prime minister may be about to be called back, although there has been no official confirmation from the Iraq Inquiry itself.

If the recall were to go ahead it would suggest the panel has discovered an inconsistency between Mr Blair’s testimony and the evidence it has gathered.

Sir John Chilcot previously said witnesses wcould be asked to attend again only if there were “conflicts or gaps within the evidence”.
