Porn director for parliament
Anna Arrowsmith, known to the porn industry as Anna Span, is standing for parliament.
Her decision to take on Tory Adam Holloway in his Gravesham constituency for the Liberal Democrats has proved divisive, however, with Conservative MP Ann Widdecombe calling her decision to stand for parliament “inappropriate”.
Ms Arrowsmith’s successful career in the adult film industry has seen her win two awards, taking the 2008 and 2009 best director gongs at the UK Adult Film and Television Awards.
She argues that her work campaigning for equal opportunities for women means she is well-suited to helping shape Britain’s laws in parliament.
“In this day and age, people who live in a democratic society should be able to choose what they want to watch,” she insists.
